Fourcup Technologies Private Limited (“Fourcup,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the Fourcup Schools training platform at fourcup.in, is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits this website, enquires about a course, books a demo class, or enrolls in training with us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using this website or submitting any form on it, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information to us.

1. Who We Are

Fourcup Technologies Private Limited is a company registered in India, operating IT training programmes in Software Testing, SAP ERP, Cloud & DevOps, Full Stack Development, and Artificial Intelligence, primarily serving learners in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and across India, both online and in classroom formats.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data only where you provide it to us directly, or where it is generated automatically by your use of this website. This includes:

  • Contact and enquiry data — full name, email address, mobile number, and any message or question you submit through our enquiry, demo-booking, contact, or trainer-application forms.
  • Course and background information — the course or domain you are interested in, your current education/experience level, preferred batch timing, and (where you choose to share it) your professional background.
  • Payment-related information — if you enroll in a paid course, our third-party payment gateway processes your payment details directly; we do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials on our own servers (see Section 8).
  • Communications — records of calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails exchanged with our counsellors, kept for training-quality and support purposes.
  • Technical and usage data — IP address (see our Cookie Policy for how this is used and retained), browser type, device type, pages visited, and referral source, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Trainer application data — if you apply to become a trainer, your professional experience, specialisation, LinkedIn profile, and a brief professional bio.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health records, biometric data, or financial account details beyond what is strictly necessary to process a course payment through our payment gateway partner.

3. Children’s Data

Fourcup Schools’ courses are designed for adult learners — working professionals, fresh graduates, and career switchers seeking IT careers. Our services are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at info@fourcup.in and we will take reasonable steps to verify this and delete the data promptly, in line with the DPDP Act’s requirements for children’s data.

4. Why We Use Your Data (Purpose of Processing)

We process your personal data only for clearly defined, lawful purposes, including to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide the course information, syllabus, or fee details you requested.
  • Schedule and remind you about a free demo class or a counselling call.
  • Process your enrollment, generate invoices, and manage your batch, attendance, and certificate issuance.
  • Provide placement assistance, including sharing your resume with our hiring partners with your specific consent at that stage.
  • Send you WhatsApp, email, or SMS updates about your enquiry, batch schedule, or enrollment — only where you have agreed to be contacted via that channel.
  • Improve our courses, website, and support based on aggregated, and wherever possible anonymised, usage patterns.
  • Meet our own legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations under Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train third-party artificial intelligence models.

5. Legal Basis and Consent

Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data on the basis of your explicit, informed consent, given at the point you submit a form on this website (for example, by checking the consent checkbox on our enquiry or demo-booking forms), or because processing is necessary to take steps you have requested before entering into a course enrollment agreement with us. Each consent is recorded with a timestamp, the version of this policy in effect at the time, and a hashed (never raw) representation of your IP address, so we can demonstrate compliance if ever required to.

You may withdraw your consent to future marketing communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, replying “STOP” to any WhatsApp message, or contacting us directly — withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing already carried out before withdrawal.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it with:

  • Hiring partner companies, and only your resume/profile, and only once you have specifically consented to placement assistance for a given company or drive.
  • Service providers who help us run this website and our operations — for example, our hosting provider, email/WhatsApp delivery services, payment gateway, and analytics tools — each bound by their own confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and given access only to the data they need to perform their specific function.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, only where required to do so by applicable Indian law, a valid court order, or a lawful government request.

Some of our service providers (for example, cloud hosting or analytics infrastructure) may process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure an equivalent standard of protection is maintained, consistent with the DPDP Act’s provisions on cross-border data transfer.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for:

  • Enquiry and demo-booking form data that does not convert into an enrollment is retained for a limited period (currently up to 24 months) and then automatically anonymised by our retention system, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Enrolled-student records (course history, certificates, invoices) are retained for as long as needed to support you after course completion (for example, verifying a certificate to an employer), and to meet our own accounting and tax record-keeping obligations under Indian law.
  • Call and chat logs with our counsellors are retained for a limited period for training and quality purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Payment Security

All course fee payments are processed through a licensed, PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment gateway. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials on our own servers at any point — your payment details go directly from your browser to our payment gateway partner over an encrypted connection.

9. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Erase your personal data, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, or where you withdraw consent.
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that is based on your consent, at any time.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us directly, and if unresolved, with India’s Data Protection Board.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@fourcup.in with the subject line “Data Subject Request”, or use our online request form where available. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across this entire website, access controls on our systems, and regular review of our data-handling practices. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and continually work to improve our safeguards.
