Full Stack Developer Trainer (MERN / JavaScript)
Job Description
About the role
Unified JavaScript stacks (MERN and Next.js) remain among the most hired full stack skill sets in SaaS, fintech and product companies. Learners need a trainer who has shipped real products, can teach clean architecture, and prepares them for the interview. You will take learners from web fundamentals to deploying a complete, tested, production-style application.
Why this role matters now: TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL and basic cloud deployment are the core combination in current full stack hiring, and interviews are practical: candidates are asked to build a small typed API and UI in one sitting.
What you will do
- Deliver live online full stack batches from fundamentals to deployment
- Guide learners through 2–3 portfolio projects built the way product teams work (Git, code review, CI)
- Teach debugging, testing and API design — not only syntax
- Run code reviews, assignments with feedback and mock interviews
- Add current topics: Next.js rendering strategies and calling AI / LLM APIs
Technical skills you must be strong in
Front end
- HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox / Grid, responsive design, Tailwind CSS
- JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, asynchronous programming
- React: hooks, context, Redux Toolkit / Zustand, React Router, React Query
- Next.js (routing, SSR / SSG, API routes)
Back end & data
- Node.js, Express / NestJS, REST and GraphQL APIs
- MongoDB with Mongoose; PostgreSQL / MySQL with an ORM
- Authentication and authorisation: JWT, OAuth, sessions; input validation and API security
- Caching with Redis, file uploads, email and payment integrations
Quality & delivery
- Git and GitHub, pull requests, code review
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright / Cypress, API tests
- Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, deployment on AWS / Vercel / Render
- System-design basics, performance and accessibility basics
Certifications
- Not mandatory — a strong, public portfolio of shipped projects matters more
- Cloud or professional certificates are a plus
You should have (the Fourcup trainer standard)
- 7+ years of hands-on industry experience in full stack web development — real projects delivered, not only teaching
- Excellent spoken and written English — you can explain a hard concept simply, live, to career-switchers and freshers
- A genuine interest in teaching and mentoring; patience with beginners and joy in seeing learners get job-ready
- Strong delivery: structured live sessions, hands-on demos and labs, clear doubt-clearing, assignments with feedback and mock interviews
- Reliable and professional: punctual, prepared, follows the batch plan and curriculum, and keeps learners motivated
Nice to have
- Prior experience as a trainer, mentor or interviewer
- Published content, a blog, GitHub projects or conference talks
- Experience preparing learners for interviews and certifications
How we select
- Resume and profile review
- A short demo session: teach one topic from this role live, as you would to a batch
- A technical and teaching-approach discussion with the Fourcup team
What we offer
- Flexible weekend / evening online batches and a clear batch plan
- Ready course material, labs and learner support from the Fourcup team
- Competitive pay based on your experience and batches taken
- The chance to build a long-term trainer career with a growing institute
